AFA controversy parodied on Argentine television

Buenos Aires, November 25 (NA) – The controversy sparked by the AFA over crowning Rosario Central as "League Champion 2025" through the annual table has humorously made its way to television. Host Mario Pergolini took advantage of the controversy to star in a fun segment on his show, recreating the protest carried out by the Estudiantes de La Plata squad.

According to what Argentine News Agency learned, the moment occurred when Pergolini appeared in the studio with a trophy in hand and announced his surprising award.

"They named me the best Spanish-speaking intercontinental host under 70 of the last 6 months," he said.

Upon the announcement, without saying a word, everyone present in the studio, both colleagues and the audience, turned their backs, emulating the controversial gesture of the Estudiantes players who turned their backs on Rosario Central during the "corridor of honor".

Pergolini continued with the irony, defending the legitimacy of his "title" and stating: "They pulled a big Estudiantes on me. They added up the rating of all the views, and I am the champion of TV."

The segment had a surprising ending: seeing the lack of celebration, the host threatened to return the prize and, crucially, "the money he was going to share."

At that moment, the attitude of those present changed radically, and everyone in the studio started singing "dale campeón" and celebrating the host's achievement.

But don't be mistaken, they awarded me for my talent and the success of the program.
